Believe in the moment of connection

Intro
Learning is a curious thing. Sometimes it comes easily, as naturally as breathing. And at other times, you just shake your head. You study. And study. And you just don't get it. It doesn't seem worth it.

And then...bam! Something clicks. In a single moment, everything connects. And it all makes sense.

  8     Client: Oglethorpe University
Atlanta, Georgia
Admissions campaign viewbook

Cover
What if you could see the past and the future at the same time?
What if technology outstrips our human capacity to think?

Intro
How do you see what's behind you, in the past? Or in front of you in the future, over the horizon? How do you know it's there? Did you read about it in a textbook or on the web? Did someone tell you it was there? Do you trust that person to tell you the truth? Did you see it when you turned around? Did you see it later when the world rotated more?

Oglethorpe has framed these questions since its founding in 1835. For over 150 years it has connected students to a long history of thinkers and futurists of their own time. Today it carries on the tradition of preparing you for a world being transformed every nanosecond by technology and at a time when the health of the planet and the understanding our own humanity are at stake. This world needs your inquiries and your solutions in every field of work.

Puzzle on.

  9     Client: Saint James School
St. James, Maryland

Cover headline
One

Intro
In a sense, Saint James is a living organism. One body. Some of us are newly arrived eighth-graders, others graduating seniors. Some of us teach English or chemistry, coach lacrosse or football. Some of us sing in the chapel choir or perform in plays. Some of us come from Brooklyn, Baltimore or Taipai, from diverse families, backgrounds, races. We are all different. Yet what defines us is that we are one. We treat each other as essential parts of a whole, healthy, intentional community. Most important, we believe in each other -- in the classroom, on the playing fields, in the dormitories, and in our inner lives. Our scholastic record reflects consistent achievement. But together, we go further. We start the day together. We all learn in small, intimate classes where we talk and listen to one another. We all break for family-style meals at midday and in the evening. We play together. We serve each other. We support each other. We help each other succeed.

We are one.

The arts: passion meets discipline and a new voice is heard.
